About TUD, formerly known as DIT

The Dublin Institute of Technology was founded in 1887 and was the first technical education establishment in Ireland. In January 2019, DIT was dissolved to become Technological University Dublin. TUD also took over the Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown, and the Institute of Technology, Tallaght. It is now the second largest third level institution in Ireland with over 20,000 students from all over the world.

TU Dublin is recognised to have amazing practical focus. The industry placements and relationships with skilled professionals are what is separating TU Dublin students from the rest.
