Here you’ll meet and make friends with people from all around the world. It’s an easy way to enrich your college experience – and your international network post-university.

Below we have compiled a list of answers to some of the questions that local students often ask when coming to stay with us. If you’ve any additional questions, please contact us.

How can I reserve a room?

To booking a room, complete your application on our booking engine. If you get stuck, give us a call on +353 1 454 8451 and we’ll be delighted to help you with your booking. You can also complete the Booking Form and we’ll call you to complete your reservation.

How can I secure my Tenancy?

Once you have completed the application form and paid your €500 Admin Fee and the €250 refundable damage deposit, your tenancy is secure.

We will then provide you with information on when your monthly rental instalments and service charge will be due.

Each room is subject to an additional €27/per week service charge to cover the costs of wifi, TV licence, television service, broadband, water, gas, electricity, waste disposal, and other utilities made available to the Room.

Do you charge a service charge and what is included?

Yes, we do apply a service charge.

Can I tour the residence?

Yes! We love showing guests around Heyday and our various room types. We give tours Mon-Friday from 10:30am to 5pm and sometimes on weekends with prior notice.

We can also do a virtual tour via WhatsApp or Zoom. Just get in touch and we’ll be happy to accommodate a tour.

What do the different room classifications mean?

Room are classified based on a number of factors – layout of the room, direction the room faces, whether street or courtyard, floor level, illumination, window size and functionality, and square meterage.

Do you have any special deals?

Currently, we are not running any special offers.

Can my friend and I live in the same apartment?

We will accommodate that you and your friend can live in the same apartment as best as we can. Depending on the time of year this may not be possible, but we will do our best so that you and your friend may share the same apartment.

 

Can my friend and I live in the same room?

We’re sorry, but it’s not possible for two people to live in one room at this site. The rooms would need to be classed as studios and be over 23 sqm in size to meet legal requirements for dual occupancy.

What contract lengths are offered?

Generally, we offer 39 week stays for the Academic Year – from September until June. We have a very limited number of Semester Bookings available for Semester 2 for 21 weeks and Summer 2026.

There is a bit more flexibility during the summer months, so please enquire about the length of stay you require.

Can I book a different move in and move out date?

We are flexible regarding move-in and move-out dates. Licence Fees are calculated by reference to set dates – but you may move in after these dates, and move out before them.

Can I pay in Instalments?

Yes, all our tenancies are paid on a monthly basis.

Please note that payments are made via bank transfer, and tenants are responsible for covering any bank fees associated with these transactions.

How long does it take to check in from when I view?

Theoretically, the same day! If we have a room available and ready for check-in, and you can provide payment for your Booking Fee/Damage Deposit, 1st month’s rent, service charges and complete the paperwork, you should be able to check in the same day!

Can I pay over the phone?

We do not take payments over the phone. All payments, including booking fees, Damage Deposits, rental payments, and service charges, must be made via the online portalbank transfer, or TransferMate. Once you arrive, you can also visit the Reception Desk for assistance if needed.

Please note that tenants are responsible for any bank or credit card fees associated with booking or making payments.

Do I need to have a guarantor?

All bookings require a guarantor.

Your guarantor should be a parent or relative, or someone who is an ordinary resident of the Republic of Ireland who will be responsible for paying your fees.

What is the minimum age for booking at Heyday?

You need to be 18 years or older to live in our residence. We will take a copy of your government-issued ID for verification.

Can I bring in a 'support animal'?

You may not keep a dog, cat, reptile, insect, pet, fish or any other animal in the Room or the Residence save for a registered service dog (guide dogs).

Can I change my room during my stay?

We will do our best to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Sometimes people wish to move to different rooms during their stay – for example, if their friend is living in a different part of the building, and they wish to share a kitchen and living area.

We can’t always facilitate moves like this – but will do our best to do so. If you’re in the process of booking – just let us know your preference, and we’ll do our best to make the arrangements. If you’re already resident in the building, just drop by the reception and enquire. There is a room-change fee so that we can clean and prepare your room for a new resident.

There will be a €50 change fee for any room moves.

Does my room come furnished with bed linens?

No, it does not. You will be required to bring your own sheets, duvet, pillow and pillowcases. These can be sourced locally at the shops. Beds are 120 x 200 – they are a small double.

Sometimes we have a complete linen pack we can sell you, which would include a duvet, duvet cover, bottom sheet, pillows, pillowcases and towels. Please enquire if we have any of these available.

For short-term stays, we offer a linen rental service. These include all the above items that are professionally cleaned and available to rent. There is a fee for this, so please enquire upon booking.

Will there be pots/pans/utensils in my kitchen?

Yes, your kitchen will have dishes, silverware, pots and pans. Additional supplies can be purchased locally.

All items in the kitchens are for use by all students in your apartment – aside from items that students may have purchased personally.

Can I check in early or move out later than planned?

Your stay with Heyday is based on a set of dates. There may be times when you can check in early or extend your stay should your room be available. Please note that any early arrivals or extensions will be charged at an additional nightly rate. Please email us for more details.

Can I have overnight guests?

You are permitted to have one guest for a maximum of 7 nights per month in your room. Two guest nights are free and the other nights will be charged at €15 per night.

Overnight guests are only permitted by alerting first your flatmates and then you must received the approval of management. You may place a guest request by 6pm of the day of arrival. Your guest will need to provide a copy of their ID or passport upon arrival.

We will not permit overnight guest requests after 6pm of the day they intend to stay. This is for the safety of all residents.

Any unapproved guests will be charged at €100 per night and you will receive a written warning.

What is the voltage in Ireland?

Electrical voltage in Ireland is 240V and the plugs are a standard 3-prong UK/IE type.

Items like your phone charger and computer will convert just fine with an Irish/UK plug adapter. Other items like your hairdryer, straightener or printer will NOT. Please do not bring these items, but purchase them locally.

You will need to bring a plug adapter or you can buy one in the shops. We do not supply adapters.

May I smoke in my room?

Smoking and open flames are prohibited in Heyday. You may smoke outside, if you wish. We do not permit smoking, candles, incense, hookah pipes or other flammable items in Heyday.

If you are caught or suspected of smoking you will be fined €100 and may be requested to leave Heyday immediate without refund. If we are unable to identify who is smoking within an apartment, all residents of that apartment will be fined.

What if I want to terminate my licence with Heyday?

Once you’ve signed the licence agreement, you are bound by the terms of that agreement.

Should you need to leave, you are able to terminate your licence by giving us a 28-day notice. Please stop by Reception to discuss your situation.

Is Heyday a quiet place to live and study?

Heyday takes anti-social behaviour seriously – whether there are incidents that affect our neighbours, others in the residence, or your flatmates.

You live within a student community at Heyday and you need to show respect for others. There are study rooms and quiet hours in effect in the residence and our courtyard so that students may effectively complete their studies.

We provide residents a student handbook, which explains our policies, and we will impose Fines/Penalties based on anti-social behaviour within Heyday.

How can I make payment?

Your rent may be paid in a number of ways, such as:

  • Online via by logging into your student account
  • By bank transfer (please ensure you use your name and student ID as the payment reference). International bank transfers may incur a charge from your own bank, so please make sure you account for this amount.

We always recommend making your rent payments through your account page in our web portal.

You may also make payment by bank transfer. Please contact your property team directly or request bank details here.

Please note, you will never be asked to make a payment to any other bank account for any reason.



We do not accept cash payments for any reason. 



If you are ever asked to make a payment into a different bank account, or if you are ever asked to pay cash to anyone for any reason, DO NOT make any payment, and contact us.

As a student, can I move in earlier?

Sometimes, by specific arrangement, we can facilitate people moving in earlier. It isn’t always possible though. Please email us and we’ll do our best to help.

How can I extend my stay?

Sometimes, by specific arrangement, we can facilitate people staying longer. It isn’t always possible though. Please email us and we’ll do our best to help.

What is your cancellation policy if I need to cancel my booking?

If you cancel your booking within 24 hours of signing your Licence Agreement, you will not be charged for the full contract term; however, your Deposit will not be returned and you will receive a 50% refund of the admin fee, as stated in your Licence Agreement.
